On the first Monday of every month, with the exception of July and August, La Villa owner Gino Lenti has been keeping with a tradition originally begun as “The Baccala Club” next to Vince’s Pizza in Yardley. An eight-course meal serving 10-15 people then grew to around 150 people.
La Villa started its own tradition in 2007. The event, which usually draws 50-70 people, in April hosted 84 people. If you have ever been to an Italian Night at La Villa Pizza in Morrisville, you know that there is something special going on. You are welcome to see what Italian night is all about, or you can order from their regular menu.
The menu does change month to month, but you can always call to see what the main course is for the next month. For May they will be featuring Pork Ragu. As guests arrive, they will be greeted by the warm and welcoming staff. The sound of laughter and chatter fill the air. The menu for the night will feature some of the most exquisite Italian dishes, including homemade pasta.
The first course is an appetizer, with at least four choices for bruschetta, fried eggplant, fried calamari, and tomato pie. The main course (that is the attraction) could be rabbit, baby lamb, pork osso buco, bragioli, or broccoli rabe, have been some of their recent offerings. A favorite is the fusilli calabrese pasta, with special sauce. “The recipe is a closely held secret,” said Gino.
Lastly, it’s time for dessert. Enjoy tiramisu, gelato, coffee, something light after the filling main courses.
As the evening comes to a close, guests will leave with warm hearts and full from the wonderful fresh, homemade food that La Villa is known for.
