Spotlight: Music Mountain Theatre

Music Mountain Theatre opened in the fall of 2017 in Lambertville, adjacent to the location of the Music Circus. Prior to that, the group performed at local schools, New Hope Arts and any other suitable space.

Then an opportunity to move into the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre came about. It was a great chance to have a venue and increase our audiences.

We performed theatre outdoors for seven seasons. As lovely as it was to perform on a warm summer evening, the rain, cold nights, bugs etc. helped us make the decision to move indoors.

We formed a non-profit organization and the search began. After several attempts, we discovered a local roofing company, Strober-Wright, was building a warehouse.

The company helped us turn the space into a theatre and we opened in October 2017. We have been producing main stage musicals, plays and concerts as well as a year-round children’s theatre program.

The Theatre School offers classes in acting, musical theatre and dance and has a summer performing arts camp. Classes are open to ages five-adult and taught by performers.

We hold auditions three times a year and they are open to everyone ages seven-adult. The season runs year-round and we perform an average of 16 musicals, plays and children’s theatre.

We have resident adult and junior companies that are open to all at the auditions. We enjoy being an important part of the community and participate in all the events and hold fundraising events for our local organizations.

MMT is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable entertainment, and education for our extended community through study, performance, and appreciation of the arts in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office or by calling 609-397-3337 or visiting www.musicmountaintheatre.org.
