Congregation Kol Emet, founded in 1984, is a Reconstructionist Synagogue led by Rabbi Anna Boswell-Levy.
It is committed to a spiritually and intellectually engaging Judaism that serves all races, abilities, gender identifications, sexual orientations, religious backgrounds, and countries of origin.
It has been located on a lushly wooded property in Lower Makefield since 2000.
The Congregation’s contemporary building provides a unique place to gather and worship.
Kol Emet encourages fulfillment, happiness, and meaning for its members and their families through interactive worship, life-long education, life-cycle events, and service to both the community and the larger world.
From our lively “Messy Babies” program to our well-attended weekly morning minyan with breakfast, to our popular monthly Shabbat potluck dinners, the synagogue offers something for everyone.
Kol Emet features a preschool and summer camp for preschoolers, a Religious School for students in grades K-10, adult education and enrichment programs, teen programs, and many other educational and entertaining programs.
Whether your interests are academic, social, or spiritual, Kol Emet offers a multitude of ways to get involved.
Kol Emet recently dedicated its outdoor contemplative space, with seating for nearly 100 attendees.
Although it was designed for worship or private meditation, its versatility is exhibited by daily gatherings of the preschool and summer camp.
In addition to being wheelchair accessible, it also has electricity, lighting, and wi-fi support for hearing-assisted devices.
President Howard Greenberg stated, “It says to our congregation that we are a community that is open.”
Rabbi Anna agreed, noting, “It allows our community to be more unbounded.”
Prospective members are invited to participate in a “Cocktails and Conversation” potluck Shabbat on August 11th at 5:45pm and a “Meet and Greet” Shabbat BBQ on September 8th at 6:00pm.
