Bucks County Singers seeking new members

The Newtown-based Bucks County Singers (BCS), who have been in existence for 35 years, are looking for new members. Under the direction of Terry Boyle Greenland of Yardley, Adjunct Professor at University of the Arts, and Accompanist Marilyn Clark of Holland, members of the BCS embrace the chorus’s unique style, which blends singing with fun-to-watch “light choreography,” making for concerts that are unlike those of most other choirs.

The BCS perform at least 10 concerts a year from September to May. The choir performs a very eclectic mix of music which appeals to a large range of musical tastes, including standards, show tunes, patriotic pieces, pop, and more.

During the holiday season, the choir dons Victorian-era garb and performs throughout the region. BCS also hosts an annual choral festival in November called “Voices of Bucks” which will be held on November 4th this year at New Life Christian Church.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:30pm at New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Drive, Newtown. Men and women in all voice parts are eagerly welcomed and no audition is required.

For more information, call BCS President Eileen Mangeney at 215-801-2068. Visit www.Buckscountysingers.org or search on Facebook.com for Bucks County Singers.
