Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program being held at Fallsington United Methodist Church each Tuesday evening from 7:00pm until 8:45pm, beginning September 12th and running through December 12th.
This nondenominational program features Christ-centered, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. There are three key parts to the GriefShare experience each week: a video; small group discussion; and a participant guide with personal study exercises that reinforce the weekly session topics.
The church is premiering brand-new GriefShare 4.0 materials, which includes fresh video content featuring nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories. Each session is “self-contained” so participants are welcome to begin at any point within the 13-week program.
The church is additionally offering a special session on Thursday, November 9th, “Surviving the Holidays.” Leading this GriefShare group will be caring people who have experienced grief and understand that no matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process.
They also know how helpful the GriefShare information and follow-up discussions can be to help rebuild lives. Your bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent.
You will find encouragement, comfort, and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling.
You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and discover how to face your new normal and renew your hope for the future.
