A range of fun family events for the community are planned and quickly approaching this fall at the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate. On Sunday, October 22nd from noon-4:00pm their Oktoberfest celebration will take place around the sprawling 67-acre estate.
Partake in delicious food and drink, including bratwurst, pretzels, and beer. Take a tour of the National Historic Landmark Pearl S. Buck House museum. Enjoy a variety of kids’ games and activities, including pumpkin painting, sidewalk chalk, arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and storytelling stations.
Listen to the talented musical stylings of Polkadelphia, not your ordinary oompah band, playing traditional German and Polish favorites as well as more modern covers. Peruse the boutique Gift Shop for gifts and souvenirs. Tickets are $20 per carload and can be purchased ahead of time or day-of at the gate. Get into the spooky spirit of Halloween with a haunted ghost tour of the historic Pearl S. Buck House and grounds! Experience a classic historic house ghost tour featuring stories of spooky encounters, resident ghosts, and ghost tales from Asia. Hear about real-life ghostly encounters in the house and on the grounds by Pearl Buck, Pearl S. Buck International staff, and others.
These tours will be offered Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th at 6:00 and 7:00pm. Not recommended for children under 13. Tour space is limited. Tickets will be available at: https://pearlsbuck.org/ghost-tours/ or by calling the tour desk at 215-249-0100.
On November 5th at 2:00pm, attend a fall wreath-making class. Mark Bryan has over 30 years of excelling at floral design, landscaping design, and horticultural experience. Bring your friends and family members as Mark expertly leads you in the design and creation of an amazing fall-themed wreath of your own.
