“Women of the American Revolution Who Helped Save America” will be presented Saturday, February 24th, 7:00pm, at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster.
The William Tennent House Association cordially invites you to a presentation featuring Mr. Sam Davis as General George Washington and Mary Bauer as Martha Washington.
The General and his wife will discuss the “Women of the American Revolution Who Helped Save America.” Washington always said that the Ladies of the Revolution were the backbone and the true champions of America.
Davis will discuss ladies that you may never have heard of that made a huge difference. One of the women dressed up as a man.
Her true identity was later discovered and her true patriotism was clear. Another woman named Molly Pitcher was a champion at the Battle of Monmouth.
At the end of his presentation, Washington will be talking about the true hero of the Revolution, his wife, Martha Washington. After earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Sam Davis taught science for over 35 years.
He is the current President of the Morrisville Historical Society.
Mary Bauer has been studying the Washingtons and colonial American history for over two decades and is currently writing a book entitled, “The Secret Diaries of Martha Washington.”
