It continues to be my honor to serve the good people of the 142nd Legislative District. In my ongoing efforts to provide residents with the information and tools they need to improve their quality of life, I am offering the following events.
A Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinic on Friday, February 9th, from 5:00-7:00pm at Sarah Mitchell Community Center, 1500 Desire Avenue, Feasterville.
More seniors and people with disabilities are now eligible for increased property tax or rent relief under a new law I supported.
Under the expanded program:
- Income eligibility INCREASED to $45,000 annually for both homeowners and renters. Remember to exclude 50% of Social Security when calculating income.
- Maximum rebates INCREASED TO $1,000.
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible residents 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older.
My office can help qualified residents apply for rebates at this clinic.
Another event for senior citizens is my Scam Jam & Fraud Alert Seminar. That event will provide information on all the latest scams and give tips on how to avoid becoming a victim. That event will be held Friday, March 8th, from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Neshaminy Activity Center, 1842 Brownsville Road, Feasterville.
Lastly, I will be hosting a Shredding Event with Sen. Frank Farry on Saturday, April 13th, from 9:00-11:30am in the Maple Square Parking Lot, 370 East Maple Avenue, Langhorne.
Residents should bring documents containing personal information they wish to dispose of. All paperwork will be securely shredded on-site.
