To: Doylestown Borough – From: Mayor Noni West

The vibrancy of Doylestown Borough is due to the people of our community, our residents, our businesses, our volunteer organizations, our non-profits, our cultural institutions, and the ability of people to organize and come together to help people in need.

I am constantly in awe of the selfless volunteerism that thrives in our community and brings us our celebrations and events. When it is time, people speak out about what they believe is best for Doylestown to improve our community and maintain our quality of life.

In any given month, the families, residents, and the broader community have the opportunity to engage in activities that encourage connectivity and challenges.

In 2024, because of community involvement, Doylestown families, residents, and the surrounding community can already look forward to the return of the Doylestown Arts Festival, 5K Run, the Halloween Costume Parade and witches bike ride, Santa’s arrival and the holiday lights bike parade, car shows, Pride Festival, Bucks County Classic, Diwali, EID & Kwanza celebrations, author series, events at the Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle, Michener Art Museum, and TileWorks, MainStreet turning the town Pink in October, Fire Company’s March pancake breakfast, outdoor movies, fishing derbies, sporting activities, Summer concerts and children’s shows, and one of the nation’s oldest Memorial Day Parades.

Also in 2024, watch for the renovation of the Doylestown Historical Society’s community focused gardens and barn. Follow the progress on the transformation of Fonthill’s property into environmental landscaping.

Stay tuned for the final phases of Broad Commons Park with a shaded community picnic area and public facilities to be added in 2024.

Doylestown is a wonderful place to live, with activities and adventures in 2024 that encourage the sense of community, belonging and well-being; all due to the people who live and do business here.

It should be obvious, but I will say it anyway, it is an honor to be Mayor.
