The Free Library of Northampton Township continues to host adult programming that allows the library to be a PA Forward Gold Star Library, one of four county libraries with this distinction.
These programs meet the five literacies – Basic, Information, Civic & Social, Health, and Financial – which the Pennsylvania Library Association’s PA Forward initiative have determined essential to success.
The following programs are free and open to everyone.
On Monday, February 26th at 6:00pm, join us for The History of Cars, presented by the LRA Enterprises Auto Museum.
Linda Kenyon will become Eleanor Roosevelt for the Friends of the Library’s Second Saturday program on March 9th at 1:00pm. Sunday, March 17th, at 2:00pm, the library will host Newtown Bookshop and famed author, Lisa Gardner.
She will be in conversation with author Liz Moore.

Attend a presentation by John Vick about the Biddle Family historic estate, Andalusia, and the estate’s arboretum on Monday, April 1st at 6:00pm.
The library also offers one-on-one Book A Librarian appointments, ESL classes in partnership with Welcoming the Stranger, and computer classes in partnership with Parks & Recreation.
Children’s Programs – Join our furry friends from the Nor’Wester Reader Therapy Dogs for Read to the Dogs on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00am (grades K-5 only).
The Sketchbook Club meets on Monday, March 4th at 4:30pm -bring your pencil!
Leprechauns are very clever – attend the St. Patrick’s Day STEM Lab (grades 4+) and use your STEAM skills to beat these little guys on Thursday, March 7th at 4:30pm (registration required).
