The Friends of the Doylestown Library will host two free programs in March in the Pearl Buck Room of the Doylestown Library.
The Lenape Nation: Past, Present, and Future – On Sunday, March 3rd, at 2:00pm, this program will explore the culture and history of the indigenous people of our area.
“We hope to raise awareness of Lenape culture and correct a lot of the misinformation that is often taught about Lenape history,” says presenter Adam DePaul, a doctoral candidate and instructor at Temple University who is a co-founder and president of Native American and Indigenous Studies at Temple. “I have always had a personal passion to tell stories. I thoroughly enjoy this role because it embraces both my academic life and cultural life.”
Improv Night: An Event for All Ages – On Thursday, March 21st from 6:30 to 8:00pm, enjoy a night of live, unscripted, and family-friendly improv comedy.
Host Rick Horner and his friends bring their unique brand of comedy to the library, specializing in short-form improvisational “games” that are entirely made up on the spot.
Each show is a one-of-a-kind experience delivering lots of laughs, irrepressible joy, and a chance to join the troupe on stage.
