34th Annual Newtown Rotary Golf Outing to benefit Pickering Manor – June 10th
The Newtown Rotary will host its 34th Annual Golf Outing to benefit Pickering Manor on June 10th at the Trenton Country Club.
This longstanding event, now in its 34th year, continues to be a cornerstone of support for the non-profit Life Plan/Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), raising substantial funds year after year.
In 2023, the outing netted close to $30,000 for Pickering Manor.
David Woodhead, CEO of Pickering Manor, emphasizes the significance of these contributions, stating, “We are beyond thankful for the generous donations from the Newtown Rotary and all those who supported the 2023 Golf Outing, without which, we wouldn’t have been able to fulfill our vision of creating a warm and inviting clubhouse space tailored to enrich the lives of our Cottage Residents. Reflecting on the enduring partnership with the Rotary Club, Woodhead adds, “The Rotary’s unwavering commitment to ‘service above self’ is evident in everything they do in the community. We are truly grateful for their ongoing support, their loyalty as ambassadors of Pickering Manor for so many decades is deeply, deeply appreciated.”
Additionally, Pickering Manor extends heartfelt gratitude to the Golf Committee for their tireless efforts in raising funds during the outing. As a token of appreciation, Pickering Manor provided the committee with a delightful sit-down lunch.
