Crowds of people began arriving in New Hope on Friday, June 7 enjoying a beautiful evening in town.

This year, the New Hope Summer Series & Fireworks, presented by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and New Hope Celebrates, includes outdoor shopping followed by a fireworks display over the Delaware River.

From 5:00pm till 9:00pm, Stockton Avenue was closed so local artists and vendors could display a vast array of crafts, paintings, jewelry, and even dog accessories.

In addition, outdoor dining was available and live music could be heard throughout the block.

Around 8:00pm, hundreds of people began moving toward the Delaware River in search of a good view of the fireworks display.

The Ferguson family from Doylestown found a front-row view of the fireworks, and as Greg Ferguson said, “What can be better for kids than eating ice cream while watching fireworks!”

As the fireworks began promptly at 8:40, the official start time, people gathered on both sides of the river in New Hope and Lambertville to enjoy the colorful display above.

Upcoming Summer Series & Fireworks Fridays will include July 5, August 2, and September 6.
