    Spotlight: Pickering Manor

Volunteer today and bring joy to Pickering Manor residents!

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you have a special skill or talent to share?

Pickering Manor is always looking for volunteers of all ages to help us bring joy while improving the lives of our residents. Some of our volunteers do arts and crafts; many share their musical talents, and others perform and entertain through song and dance!

Pet therapy volunteers are very popular amongst our residents, and we are always looking to add more animals to spend time with us.

Additionally, we recently added a manicure table to our beauty salon – we are seeking volunteers to transport and/or pamper our residents.

Our volunteer opportunities are endless! Volunteering at Pickering Manor not only puts a smile on a resident’s face, but also allows you to network, develop new skills, make new friends, and have a chance to give back.

Volunteers also enjoy listening to the stories our residents share about their lives. Becoming a volunteer can not only enrich a resident’s life but enrich yours as well.

Nestled in the heart of historic Newtown, Pickering Manor offers a wide variety of brand-new or newly renovated living neighborhoods.

These include independent living in the form of cottages and apartments, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, personal care, and memory care.

At Pickering, you will find a warm, friendly environment filled with smiles, hugs, stories, and laughter.

For over a decade, Pickering Manor has received a 5-star overall quality rating, the highest score possible from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Please call our Volunteer Coordinator Kelly Moyer at 215-968-3878 if you would like to become a volunteer.
