Approximately 40 people gathered at the Morrisville Senior Servicenter on Monday, July 8 ready to enjoy bingo from noon to 2 p.m. Many seniors come weekly eager to socialize with others.

Some people arrived early for lunch that they ordered a week earlier for just a $2 donation.

Others came prior to bingo to shop at the center’s Treasure Chest Thrift Store, open to the public. Many shoppers enthusiastically agreed that they find very reasonably priced merchandise at this store.

Bingo is open to members and non-members for only $5 for 12 sheets.

Bonnie Scheidell, Morrisville Senior Servicenter manager, explained that these weekly Monday bingo games offer a great excuse for seniors to get out of their house and make new friends.

Myrna Morales, one of the center’s bingo callers, said that these games are a great way to “bring the community together. People come from Morrisville and beyond to play. “It’s a fun way for seniors to use their minds. Plus, people get very excited when they win.”
