The Four Lanes End Garden Club (FLEGC) in Langhorne is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser of the year, its 62nd Holiday House Tour and Tea held annually the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Therefore, this year’s event will take place Thursday, November 21 from 11 am to 8 pm.
This Holiday House Tour features a self-guided house tour of four homes in Langhorne decorated for the season by club members. Each home will have a unique theme, based on the house’s style and history.
Also included with the tour will be tea served with the members’ infamous homemade cookies to be held at the Middletown Country Club in Langhorne. In addition, handcrafted items created by club members will be available for sale at the Country Store.
The American Legion Auxiliary at the Jesse W. Soby Post 148 in Langhorne will host a luncheon during the afternoon. Plus, the Historic Langhorne Association’s Library, constructed in 1888, will be open for house tour participants to visit.
Proceeds generated from the Holiday House Tour and Tea ticket sales will be used for community beautification (planting and maintaining hayracks, containers in Langhorne proper); maintenance of the Richardson House grounds; and financial support for the Mayor’s Park in Langhorne, Langhorne Open Space, Jessie Soby Legion Post, Historic Langhorne Association, Langhorne Borough Business Association, Langhorne Council for the Arts, and Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. Presale tickets are $25, and $30 the day of the tour. Presale tickets will be sold by Judy’s Corner, Yellow Daffodil and Gift, Langhorne Coffee Shop, Bird of Paradise Flower Shop (Bristol), Newtown Floral Shop (Newtown), as well as by club members. No tickets will be sold at the homes. Tickets can be purchased the day of the tour at the Middletown Country Club and at the Richardson House.
This annual House Tour and Tea makes it possible for the FLEGC to offer two scholarships each year to Bucks County students attending college to study horticulture, landscape architecture, environmental sciences, and/or related fields. Visit the garden club’s website to apply for the 2025/2026 school year scholarship.
The FLEGC is a longstanding nonprofit organization in the Langhorne community. It was founded in 1957 by the late Doris Monroe with the purpose of fostering and nurturing the common interest of gardening among its early members, as well as providing instruction and developing talent in artistic floral arranging. Over the years this garden club has evolved into so much more.
Today it holds seven meetings a year on the fourth Tuesday of the month. These meetings expand its members’ interests and knowledge with a variety of programs chosen to satisfy the horticulture and design enthusiasts among them.
Join FLEGC for their next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 9:30 am at The Barn, located at the Middletown Community Park, 2600 Langhorne-Yardley Road. This upcoming meeting will include a mini flower show. Meetings are open to the public.
