Lenape Valley Foundation holds Community Care Celebration Awards Dinner

Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF), a leading nonprofit provider of mental health services in Bucks County, will hold its Community Care Celebration awards dinner on Thursday, October 24. The event will take place at The Warrington in Warrington, PA, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The event will recognize four significant supporters that have played an instrumental role in helping LVF and the larger Bucks County community. Sharon Curran, retired LVF CEO, will receive the Ed Knopf, M.D. Award; Barbara N. Lyons, Esq., a local philanthropist, community advocate and former LVF Board member will receive the Community Champion Award; the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc., a nonprofit offering a comprehensive and balanced continuum of quality prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery services for Bucks County, will receive the Health and Wellness Champion Award; and the Village Improvement Association (VIA), a nonprofit committed to enhancing the health and welfare of the central Bucks County community, will receive the Stakeholder Champion Award. The event will also feature musical entertainment by the East Coast Entertainment Group, and a wine pull fundraiser.

All proceeds will support the opening of the Bright Path Center, a new behavioral health crisis center in Doylestown. The center will greatly improve the environment and quality of care for children, adults and families who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Anticipated to open in 2025 and the first of its kind in Pennsylvania, the new crisis center will bring together under one roof all the components of crisis services that are now fractured across our system: mental health, drug and alcohol, intellectual disabilities and more, in an environment designed to deescalate the crises.

Community members are invited to attend this celebration and reservations are required. Tickets are $175 per person and can be purchased online. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please visit www.lenapevf.org/celebrate2024.
