Outstanding October at Free Library of Northampton Township

Fred Miller returns with a “Lecture in Song” about Old Blue Eyes—Frank Sinatra—on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 pm. Listen to anecdotes of Sinatra’s extraordinary life and hear the songs that made him a popular music legend. Registration required.  

Join us on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6 pm as the League of Women Voters shares information on voting basics and Vote 411, their voting information portal.  This is a non-partisan program designed to advance the League’s mission to encourage informed and active participation in government. Registration required.  

October would not be complete without some spooky stories—this time for adults. On Monday, Oct. 28 at 6 pm, Carolyn Randolph of Ghost Tours of New Hope will be at the library to tell chilling ghost tales of Philadelphia and the surrounding area. Registration required.  

Auctioneer and appraiser, Mike Ivankovich, will be at the library on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 pm with the program, What’s It Worth. He will introduce you to his rules of “What Determines Value” and how to apply them to your collectibles. Each registered attendee is invited to bring in 1-2 items for Mike to appraise in a public setting.

Christine Applegate, of the Museum of Indian Culture, presents a program entitled: The Way of Peace and the Iroquois Confederacy on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 pm. Founded hundreds of years ago, the Iroquois Confederacy joined northeastern tribes into a union of peace. Registration required.   

For Children:

Franken-Toy Monster Lab on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 4:30 PM. At this program, parts from old toys are used to create our unique Franken-toys. We will provide toys, but feel free to bring your own toys to destroy and give a new life! Grades 3+, younger children are welcome with adult assistance.
