SPOTLIGHT: State Rep. Joe Hogan (142nd District)

State Representative Joe Hogan – working for you!

Delivering for our community

Serving as your state representative has been the greatest honor of my life. Since being sworn in, I have worked to promote legislation and solutions I believe will improve our schools, build safer communities, and make Lower Bucks the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Here are some of the initiatives that I have been working on for our community:

I supported the most recent bipartisan budget which again delivers historic funding for our schools. This includes over a billion dollars in funding including significant increases for our students in both Council Rock and Neshaminy school districts.

Last year we tripled the Child Care Tax Credit in Pennsylvania for working families. This year we created a new credit for employers that offer their employees this type of benefit. These efforts benefit both young families and the businesses that are looking to grow in our region.

I’ve also worked hard to keep our students safe in school and make our streets safer for

everyone. In our budget, I fought for and increased funding for school safety and a new program will provide a school resource/police officer in every school in Pennsylvania. I have also worked with area legislators to pass H.B. 2266 which cracks down on illegal street racing and dangerous meetups.

Finally, the House passed my own legislation, H.B. 2064, the most sweeping financial protection legislation in over a decade, with a strong, bipartisan vote. H.B. 2064 protects older Pennsylvanians who may be a victim of a scam or financial exploitation by providing guardrails at your financial institution.
