Spotlight: Worthwhile Wear

The mission of The Well is to provide sanctuary along with an array of support services, trauma therapies and educational opportunities for women who have been trafficked.

Human trafficking is the second-largest criminal industry in the world, with over 800,000 people trafficked against their will across international borders each year.

For those who escape, many are left with the scarring aftermath of trauma and addiction from being treated like a commodity. The road to healing requires a comprehensive response. It’s not enough to offer a single solution, which is why Worthwhile Wear utilizes a multi-pronged approach to address this growing issue and to aid survivors.

Worthwhile Wear is a 501c3 non-profit that offers community outreach and classroom programs (Worth It), a safe house and recovery program (The Well), and employment programs (Worthwhile Thrift) to local survivors of human trafficking and exploitation.

Human trafficking and exploitation take place right here in Bucks, Montgomery, Berks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

We are dedicated to not only providing free valuable resources to survivors, but to walking alongside survivors in their recovery journeys. We are with them every step of the way because we believe (we know) that everyone is worthwhile.

We have been working to reach and serve survivors since 2012 and no matter how much we grow as an organization… our work is never done.

More About Worthwhile Thrift: Proceeds from our Worthwhile Thrift stores in Plumsteadville (5835 Easton Rd, Plumsteadville) and Collegeville (305 2nd Ave, Suite 201, Collegeville) serve as additional financial support for Worthwhile Wear’s restorative programs for survivors of human trafficking. The stores also provide vocational training and employment for women participating in The Well program.
