Donors Needed to Help Spread Holiday Cheer

Sandy Chambers and Officer Ryan Lischke deliver gifts on behalf of the New Britain Township Police Department.

While holiday time is supposed to be filled with joy and happiness, that is not the case for many of our friends and neighbors in Bucks County. Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) hopes to help make the holidays a little brighter for those in need through its annual Holiday Assistance Program.

For more than 65 years, the compassionate and caring staff of Lenape Valley Foundation has been there to provide treatment, crisis services, case management and community support for children and adults in need. More than 14,000 residents of our community utilized one or more of LVF’s critical services this past year. Last year, the Holiday Assistance Program helped close to 600 people.

This year, LVF is seeking individuals, groups and companies to help those in need by “adopting” individuals and/or families to offer them some joy over the holidays. Once a company/individual agrees to “adopt,” a wish list will be provided. By purchasing gifts for these individuals, donors are doing a great service to others in the community. All those benefiting from this program are receiving services through Lenape Valley Foundation.

To participate as a donor in the Holiday Assistance Program, please visit www.lenapevf.org/support-our-work/holiday-assistance-program, call 267-893-5280 or email suzanne.rhodeside@lenapevf.org. Donors are encouraged to respond by November 8.

Lenape Valley Foundation’s mission is to partner with members of our community encountering mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental challenges as they pursue their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life.  LVF is a private, not-for-profit provider of crisis, information and referral, treatment, case management, residential, consultation, and psycho-educational services. For information regarding Lenape Valley Foundation and its services, please visit www.lenapevf.org or call 215-345-5300.
