Newtown’s Mr. Bucks County and Light the Night Pink Block Party Event Raises $91,000 for Main St.

2024 Mr. Bucks County: Joe Deluca

Main St., an experience- based, community-driven non-profit dedicated to helping LOCAL breast cancer patients is happy to be the beneficiary of the Newtown based Mr. Bucks County competition and Light the Night Pink block party.  The event raised $91,000 for Main St. and was one of 15 events taking place across Bucks County for Main St. during the month of October.

The competition was comprised of twelve contestants, all local and prominent business owners and associates, who competed against one another to see who could raise the most money for the non-profit.  This year, Mr. November, Joe Deluca took the crown by raising over $50,000.  All the contestants were amazing and contributed in making the event a tremendous success.  The competitors, who will also be featuring in a Mr. Bucks County calendar are: Mike Kanoff (Mr. January), Chris Aland (Mr. February), Kevin Donlon (Mr. March), Michael Christou (Mr. April), Eric Chamberlain (Mr. May), Daniel Knott (Mr. June), Rich Fekete (Mr. July), Bill Wise (Mr. August), Heath Dumac (Mr. September), Jason Beaver (Mr. October), Joe DeLuca (Mr. November), Mike Sobczak (Mr. December).  You can order a calendar at:  www.mrbuckscounty.com (all proceeds from the calendar go to Main St.).

The event was a year in the making, all aspects were spearheaded by Gina-Maria Santoro, a local business owner of Giovanni’s Fine Fashions.  Gina was supported by many in the town.

Gina-Maria shares, “We are incredibly proud to be part of the Main Street family and to have raised over $90,000 through the Mr. Bucks County Competition and the Light the Night Pink event. This milestone means so much more than just a number—it represents hope and tangible support for local cancer patients who are navigating the toughest battle of their lives. These funds will directly help provide essential services, financial assistance, and emotional support to individuals in our community, ensuring that no one fights cancer alone. We’re honored to be a part of something that truly makes a difference.”

“The mission of Main St. is to support the needs of the local breast cancer community.  Our hyperlocal focus is powered by small towns and people like Gina who can use their local influence to create opportunities for people and businesses to participate in a meaningful way.  We are thankful and grateful to Gina and everyone who lent a hand in the success of this year’s event.  The awareness and funds raised will help hundreds of locals within our Bucks County breast cancer community!” said Keith Fenimore, Founder and Executive Director, Main St.
