What’s the secret to success with Comedy Cabaret? According to Dr. Scarpati, “Great comedians who can be funny without a lot of profanity.” Scarpati says one of the questions people frequently ask him is “has anyone ever performed here and gone on to be famous?”
Yes! In the early 1990s, Joe Rogan and Kevin James from “The King of Queens” and “Mall Cop,” played here quite a few times. James sent Comedy Cabaret a shout out video that you can see on the home page of ComedyCabaret.com.
Scarpati, whose day job is a hypnotherapist, has various self-hypnosis seminars, and comedy hypnosis shows scheduled at Comedy Cabaret in the new year. Comedy Cabaret is open Friday and Saturday nights. Comedy Cabaret also does some occasional shows in Newtown at the Temperance House.
