The holiday season – The perfect time to assess your real estate goals
The year is winding down and the holiday season is here which presents a unique opportunity to reflect on your real estate goals and set plans for the coming year. Whether you’re looking for your first home, adding an investment property to your portfolio or selling your current home, the holiday/winter months can have advantages, believe it or not!
There is limited competition, which equates to more negotiating power for buyers. Sellers who typically list their homes during the holidays are very motivated. Holiday curb appeal can give Sellers an edge when their homes are beautifully and most importantly tastefully staged (If you are not quite sure and need an opinion, call me!). These homes can seem more inviting and desirable. And remember only serious buyers are out looking this time of year, so let that work for you!
It’s also a great time to set your real estate goals for next year. Considering downsizing? Getting more outside space? Jumping into the rental market? If you are, let me know and we can explore the current market trends and discuss your options. You truly need to be well informed to start the process, and I am happy to assist you.
So to sum it up, this can be a strategic time for real estate decisions: Motivated sellers, fewer buyers, the potential for negotiating better terms. This will continue into the winter months so keep that in mind.
If you are looking to list your home, please don’t wait till “the spring,” list before to get a jump on that market!
I would like to extend my gratitude to the communities I have been fortunate enough to serve for 30 years helping my friends and clients buy and sell their homes! Here’s hoping as you gather with friends, family, and neighbors this year that there are no major incidents which unfortunately can be common especially in an election year! Wishing you and your family peace, a joyous holiday season, a very Happy New Year!
I look forward to meeting you when the time is right!
