La Strada Italian Restaurant, owned and operated by Michael Rinzo and his brother, Mario, opened 10 years ago in Huntingdon Valley. After retiring from a long and successful career in the restaurant industry, Michael took a few years off only to realize that he missed what he enjoyed doing most – running a restaurant.
Together the brothers opened La Strada with a mission of providing exceptional Italian food in a comfortable, yet elegant, environment. Great pride is taken not only in the quality of the food they prepare but also in the professional service they provide.
When you walk into the dining room at La Strada, the focal point is the tree in the center strung with white lights and adding to the ambience are the white linen tablecloths which adorn each table that add to the ambience.
The menu is extensive and offers traditional Italian favorites, contemporary dishes and daily specials that offer unique tasting opportunities while keeping the menu fresh for regulars.
A few of the many classic favorites include eggplant parmigiana, chicken or veal marsala, piccata, parmigiana and francese. There are a wide variety of pasta dishes from which to choose and gluten free penne can be substituted for those with dietary restrictions. Signature dishes include steak, veal, salmon, and bronzino, to name a few.
Be sure to save some room for a cappuccino and dessert. Selections include tiramisu, rice pudding, strawberry cheesecake, cannoli and more.
La Strada is also open to handle private parties for any occasion. The atmosphere is well-suited for everything from bridal and baby showers to funeral luncheons.
