Celebrate the miracle of the season at Newtown United Methodist Church
As the holiday season fills the air with joy, Newtown United Methodist Church warmly invites you to join in celebrations that reflect the heart of Christmas. Located at 35 Liberty Street in the historic heart of Newtown, the church has been a beacon of faith and community since 1840.
This December, celebrate the season with these special events:
- The Miracle of Jesus Children’s Event:
Saturday, December 7, 10 am –12 pm: Step into the story of Jesus’ birth! Our Bethlehem Marketplace offers a hands-on experience filled with crafts, food, and stories that inspire children of all ages to discover the true meaning of Christmas.
- Christmas Eve Worship
Sunday, December 24, at 7 pm and 11 pm: Celebrate the sacred night with candlelit services featuring carols, Bible readings, and prayers. Singing “Silent Night” in our historic sanctuary surrounded by beautiful stained glass windows is an experience that will fill your heart with peace and wonder.
- Pancake Breakfast & Worship Service:
Sunday, December 29, at 10 am: Close the year with a warm, family-friendly morning of worship followed by a delicious pancake breakfast. Come and experience the magic of Christmas with us as we celebrate the true spirit of the season—filled with joy, wonder, and community.
