The Christmas Gala, a nonprofit that supports seniors and mental health groups throughout the year, is once again launching its annual Angel Program, continuing its mission to spread joy to members of the community during the holiday season.
Serving over 1,000 seniors and individuals from mental health groups, the Angel Program provides new Christmas gifts to those who may be alone, without family, or facing financial difficulties. Referrals come from more than 30 local nonprofit partners, ensuring that gifts reach those most in need.
Gift tags representing specific individuals are placed on Christmas trees in businesses across the county, allowing community members to select a tag and purchase a gift for a local senior or mental health group member. Tags can also be requested by phone or text at 267-549-7602.
“We are particularly in need of support this year for some of the more difficult-to-fill requests,” said Cheryl, President, and Founder of The Christmas Gala. “This includes larger-sized clothing (sizes 3X to 5X) and specialized items for lower-functioning individuals. Additionally, everyday items like chapstick, lotion, and men’s wallets are always in demand.”
The Christmas Gala invites the community to get involved and help brighten the holidays for those in need. A full list of suggested items and more information on how to participate can be found at www.thechristmasgala.org, or by calling 267-549-7602.
This long-standing program is a testament to the Bucks County community’s generosity and commitment to helping others. The Christmas Gala is excited to continue this tradition of spreading holiday cheer to seniors and individuals in need.
