Area veterans are invited to attend the annual Maple Point Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 8. It will be held in the auditorium at Maple Point Middle School, 2250 Langhorne – Yardley Road in Middletown Township.
This annual ceremony offers area veterans the opportunity to gather with their fellow veterans during a pre-ceremony light breakfast between 9:30 and 10:30 am, followed by a formal ceremony at 10:30 am which will be attended by Maple Point eighth-grade students, faculty and administrators, and local dignitaries. Family members are welcome to join their veterans at the ceremony.
During the ceremony, each veteran will be recognized individually on stage and enjoy patriotic speeches and musical performances by the students. Weather-permitting, a photo will be taken of the veterans and students following the ceremony gathered around a large American flag painted on the grounds outside the school.
This Maple Point tradition draws up to 100 veterans each year. There is no charge to participate, and veterans of any era are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at https://forms.gle/yYBgX9qdkR93jyrw6. For questions about the ceremony, please contact the Main Office at Maple Point Middle School at 215-809-6230.
