The local community turned out in style to hear live music from the Fiddlehead String Quartet, bid on auction items, enjoy refreshments, play games and meet their friends and neighbors at Fallsington Library’s recent fall concert fundraiser. In all, about 70 people attended the annual event, which featured a return of the popular quartet performing on the library’s second-floor stage.
“We love welcoming our patrons and new friends to see all that our library has to offer,” Fallsington Library Executive Director Charlene Rendeiro said. “We’re grateful for the community support from sponsors, both corporate and family, friends, and neighbors. We’re so fortunate to have such a wonderful quartet play a concert for us, to help us keep the library programs going. ”
In all, the library raised nearly $7,000 from ticket sales, auction items, musicians’ tips (which were donated to the library) and community sponsors. Funds will support Fallsington Library’s programming, which includes year-round fun, hands-on STEAM programs, an immersive summer activity and reading program, yoga classes, and train and craft clubs.
