Yardley appoints Dr. Kishan Patel as Subacute Medical Director
SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility) Recognized for Quality Care in Two National Rankings
Yardley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has appointed Kishan Patel, MD, as subacute medical director. Located at 1480 Oxford Valley Road in Yardley, the skilled nursing center – recognized for its quality care in two 2024 national rankings – provides post-hospital, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine. He is affiliated with First Docs in Levittown and brings significant experience in the skilled nursing setting to this new role.
Highlighting his industry leadership, Dr. Patel previously served as vice chair and a member at large of the Residents and Fellow Section of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Subacute represents a comprehensive, high level of care for patients with active illnesses, injuries or complex medical conditions following – or as an alternative to – a hospital stay. “Yardley is a destination of choice for subacute and skilled nursing care in the region,” noted Dr. Patel. “I grew up here in Bucks County, making this appointment particularly special for me. It’s a pleasure to join Yardley’s talented team in aiming to provide for the best possible outcomes for all those in our care.”
Yardley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, an administrative and consulting services provider. “Yardley is pleased to welcome Dr. Patel to its clinical leadership team; he is well known in the region for his medical expertise and caring manner,” said Marquis’ Erin Popelak, regional director of market development.
Yardley develops market-specific programming that responds to regional demand. Current offerings include Physiatry Services, Pulmonary Care and a progressive Chronic Illness Support care model integrating palliative care, pastoral support and other services with Yardley’s clinical programming.
Yardley was named among the nation’s 2024 Best Nursing Homes in prestigious rankings by both Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report.
