On Saturday, December 7 at 1 pm, Mike Ivankovich returns to the library with the informational program, “Your Children Don’t Want It, Here’s What to Do”. He has 15 Tips and Strategies in order to take control of the “stuff” that your kids don’t want when downsizing. Registration required.
Tuesday Morning Matinees celebrate the season on Tuesday, December 17 at 10 am with the movie “I Heard the Bells”. The movie tells the story of how Henry Wadsworth Longfellow came to write the poem, “Christmas Bells,” which later became the beloved carol. Registration required.
For Children:
Does your stuffed animal want to have fun at the library? On Monday, December 9 at 6:00 pm, the library is having a Stuffed Animal Sleepover where you and your stuffed friend read a bedtime story and play. Then, your stuffie will stay the night at the library while you go home. When you come back the next day to pick up your friend, view photos of the fun the stuffies had at the library!!
Did you ever wonder how kids played two hundred years ago? Join Ms. Bonnie from Tyler State Park at the library on Monday, December 16 at 4:30 PM for Heritage Crafts Toys & Dolls. This workshop is the first in a series that focuses on heritage crafts for kids. In this class, learn to make a rag doll from materials found around your house. Registration required.
