Drive and Thrive: Fueling change in Bucks and Montgomery counties
Transportation is more than just a way to get from point A to point B. It’s a lifeline to opportunity, independence, and hope. In Bucks and Montgomery counties, Drive And Thrive powered by Sauers Cares has recognized a critical gap in our community: reliable transportation, which remains out of reach for many, limiting access to medical care, employment, and essential services. To address this, Drive And Thrive has developed a transformative initiative designed to empower community members through innovative programs and practical solutions.
Drive and Thrive is powered by the vision of making transportation a right, not a privilege. At its heart are three cornerstone programs: the Empower Wheels car clinic program, which offers free maintenance for underprivileged individuals and those who’ve fallen on hard times; the Fuel Assistance Program, ensuring families don’t have to choose between gas and groceries; and the Future Mechanics Scholarship Program, fostering career paths for aspiring auto professionals. These initiatives are tailored to break down barriers and uplift those facing economic challenges, creating a ripple effect of positivity and self-sufficiency.
This impactful effort builds on Sauers Cares’ legacy of supporting over 30 causes in the last five years, addressing issues like food insecurity, homelessness, and youth development. Their dedication to building stronger communities is evident in their thoughtful transition to this new focus, born from extensive research into unmet needs.
