Miranda Burg was recognized as Student of the Month for January by the Feasterville Rotary Club at its meeting on January 23 at Erwin’s Country Kitchen. She lives in Feasterville with her parents, Paul and Lan Burg, and siblings, Quan, Allyson, Sarah and P.J. She has attended Neshaminy Schools for 4 years, and her GPA is 4.5.
Miranda was introduced to the Rotary by Mrs. Bobbi Cimochowski, Grade 12 Assistant Principal at Neshaminy High School.
Her Senior courses include AP Biology, AP Spanish 5, AP Psychology, Earth and Space Science, AP English Literature, HN Calculus 1 and PE.
At school, Miranda’s a member of the varsity tennis team and varsity track team, Reading Olympics, Environmental Action Club, World Language Club and is a member and treasurer of the Future Medical Professionals Club.
Her honors include membership in National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society and consistently making the Distinguished Honor Roll.
Outside of school, Miranda volunteers as a tutor, runs Reading Olympics competitions and plants trees.
She enjoys spending her leisure time reading, crafting, playing tennis and collecting books; and she holds a part-time job as hostess at a Vietnamese restaurant.
Upon graduation from high school, Miranda hopes to attend Cornell University to major in biopsychology.
