Northampton Township Preschool announces full-day option!
As the Council Rock School District prepares to welcome its first full-day kindergartners this fall, Northampton Township Preschool is expanding to offer its first-ever full-day preschool program!
“Our popular preschool program has long been known for preparing students well for kindergarten,” said Barbra Primavera, Program Manager. “Expanding to a full-day program allows children to adjust to a full school day while fostering a nurturing environment where they feel at home and develop a lifelong love of learning.”
Research supports the benefits of full-day preschool. A study published in “JAMA” found that children in full-day programs showed stronger reading and math skills by third grade and demonstrated better social-emotional development than those in half-day programs (Sparks, 2023).
Northampton Township Parks and Recreation Preschool is a state-certified program that has been helping children love school for over 30 years. Registration for the Ready, Set, Grow full-day option is open for the 2025-2026 school year.
