The locally beloved farm-stand Charlann Farms has been very busy improving their facility and preparing some new surprises for their customers.
Charlann Farms, located at 586 Stony Hill Road in Yardley, has reopened this spring with a much larger selection of farm-fresh goods. They’ll be selling locally grown and produced milk, eggs, bread, meats, pre-cut and pre-packaged fruits and vegetables.
As a sixth-generation farm, Charlann Farm was originally a dairy farm established in 1929. They started with an open-air farmstand in their driveway in the 1980’s and the current farm-stand was built in 1995.
They are deeply connected to the community and truly invested in ensuring that they provide high-quality and delicious fruits and vegetables to their consumers that are also affordable. As one of the last few working farms in the area, they pride themselves on making sure each person that steps foot onto the farm feels welcomed and has an enjoyable time.
They have worked hard to establish relationships with their customers and enjoy hearing feedback which allows them to make changes so they may better meet their customers’ needs. Charlann Farm proudly offers a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program, and the CSA is available to individuals interested in supporting and investing in the farm.
It’s a popular way to access fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables. They offer full shares (pick up once a week) and half shares (every other week).
Shares usually average between 8-10 items each pickup (for example 12 ears of corn, six green peppers, one pt. blackberries, etc.) Visit Charlann Farms in person to experience the freshest locally grown produce for yourself.
To enroll in the CSA or check offerings, visit their website at www.charlannfarms.com or call 215-493-1831. Hours: Wed-Sun 10-6; June: Tues-Sun 10-6.
