Spotlight: Bensalem Gymnastics

Offering competitive and recreational classes for all ages

For over 35 years, Tony Valdez, a former competitive gymnast, has owned and operated Bensalem School of Gymnastics. The school prides itself on developing gymnasts of all levels; including many who have gone on to win State honors.

Tony believes that the teaching of sound fundamentals is the core strength of his gymnastics school. In an effort to create a strong foundation on which students can build, technique is the primary focus of all classes.

This emphasis is essential as it allows young gymnasts to continue to build on their skills whether they want to compete now or should they develop those aspirations sometime in the future. Whether your child is looking to compete or just enjoys participating for fun, Bensalem School of Gymnastics has something for everyone.

Classes range from “Mom & Tot” to competitive gymnastics for both boys and girls. Recreational Gymnastics and Cheer and Tumble classes are great options for students who want to participate in the sport for exercise, enjoyment and the social connections that develop through group classes.

Additionally, the school also offers open workouts for students wishing to try out the sport or participate in a more informal way. Birthday parties can be hosted at the gym, providing a fun and active way for kids to celebrate with their friends.

A weekly feature is the long running Movie & Gymnastics Night offered every Saturday night from 6:00 – 10:00pm. This fun-filled event is open to the public for children ages six to 13.

The cost is $25 and includes pizza, beverages, gymnastics and a movie. Bensalem School of Gymnastics is located at 4432 E. Bristol Road in Trevose.
