Amanda Chen was recognized by the Feasterville Rotary Club as their Student of the Month during a recent meeting at Erwin’s Country Kitchen. She resides in Feasterville with her parents, Yin Chen and Li Fang Zheng, and her brother Jimmy Chen.
Amanda has attended Neshaminy schools for the past 12 years and carries a 4.51 GPA in weighted classes. She was introduced at the meeting by Ms. Vanessa Robtison, Grade-Level Assistant Principal at Neshaminy High School.
Amanda’s senior courses include AP English 12, Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology, AP Calculus AB, AP Spanish 5, AP Psychology, and AP Chemistry. She is also a member of Debate Club, Reading Olympics, Scholars’ Bowl, National Honor Society, and has won a Varsity Letter in Orchestra.
Amanda also volunteers at food-distribution events and as a youth tutor, and has been recognized with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. She loves reading, mythology, and music, and plays the piano and violin.
Her parents own a restaurant where she works part-time. After graduation, Amanda plans to attend university to major in chemistry.
Grad school will follow on her path to becoming a dentist.
