Trade your once-beloved treasures for cash or shop for an array of bargains while fundraising for the Fallsington Library at Falls Township’s Community Yard Sale this spring.
Set for Saturday, April 20th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Falls Township Community Park, the Community Yard Sale is a great opportunity to clear out the closets – or find a treasure trove of new items from the variety of vendors participating.
All funds raised from the sale of table space will be donated to Fallsington Library.
Director Charlene Rendeiro said the proceeds will go a long way to supporting the library’s general funding, including its free community programs, which are enjoyed by about 1,500 people each year.
Funds will also be earmarked for the library’s book-buying budget, as well as to help fund the addition of a chairlift to provide easier access to the library’s second floor.
The Falls Township Community Park is located at 9050 Mill Creek Road, Levittown. Tables can be reserved for $20 or two tables for $35 by visiting the Falls Township Parks and Recreation website, FallsTwpRec.com.
The Fallsington Library Company was founded in 1800 and incorporated in 1802. In 1879, the nonprofit organization moved into its Federalist-style building located at 139 Yardley Avenue.
The second floor served as a community hall, hosting concerts, plays, dances, meetings, and even gym classes for the Pennsbury School.
The Fallsington Library continues to proudly serve Fallsington and surrounding communities.
A full-service lending library, Fallsington Library also presents interactive family programming, and provides meeting space for the public in its historic building.
The library’s affiliation with the Bucks County Free Library provides patrons full access to the entire BCFL catalog.
