Calling All Foodies & Art Lovers!

Thirty local youth artists, ages 10 – 17, are raising awareness about food insecurity through their art show “Culinary Art” which runs through end of June in historic Newtown.

They are hoping to raise money for Bucks County Housing Group’s Food Pantries to help with the BCHG mission to close the door on hunger.

The aspiring young artists have each created their own individual paintings featuring – you guessed it – food!

As part of their fundraising effort, the students have all joined together to complete two collaborative paintings which will each be sold to highest bidder.

Their 12” x 24” Garlic & Herbs was painted in calming neutral colors, while their 20” x 20” Vegetable Medley is bold and vibrant.

Both paintings are signed by all 30 students and will be on display for the entire month of June at 2 South State St. in Newtown.

Bidding entry forms for the silent auction are available in person, or bids can be placed via email (please indicate which painting you are bidding on) at youthartsilentauctionbids@aol.com.

Bids will be accepted now through June 30th, and the highest bidder will be contacted the first week of July.

In addition to the silent auction of their collaborative veggie paintings, fun and whimsical note cards featuring the students’ individual paintings will be on sale.

One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale of these note cards, and the two silent auction paintings will be donated to Bucks County Housing Group’s Food Pantries.

BCHG is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end food and housing insecurity within our communities.
