Doylestown-area July 4th festivities

Join the fun on the grounds of Fonthill Castle, located at 525 E Court St in Doylestown, to celebrate Independence Day where guests enjoy a day of fun, food, games, crafts, entertainment and live music.

This fun-filled day will take place Thursday, July 4 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Highlights of the day include the children’s decorated bike parade, wheelbarrow and sack races, tug-of-war, live musicians, and food trucks.

Antique bicycles, historic town ball (a precursor to baseball!) and other fun activities make this a day to remember.

Children will kick off the event by participating in the beloved Decorated Bicycle Parade at 12:30pm where all participating children will receive cheers from the crowd and a special certificate after pedaling down the historic site’s famed tree-lined driveway on their pre-decorated bicycles.

The cost is $5 for adults, $1 for youth (six years old through 17), and free for children five and under.
