Holiday traditions at Charlann Farms

by Lori A. Katz

As the air grows cooler and winter approaches, we at Charlann Farms are once again embracing the shift from one season to the next as our farm transforms into a winter wonderland.

Our farmstand will change over from Fall and become a “holiday barn” featuring unique holiday decor and gifts. Throughout the winter season, we will continue to offer specialty, locally-sourced items like milk, cheeses, and more. As always, we will have an abundance of beautiful, healthy Christmas trees to choose from, as well as pine roping, wreaths, and other holiday decor.

Our second annual Holiday Kick-Off Party will occur this year on Saturday, November 30, 11 – 4 pm (rain date December 1) to celebrate Santa’s arrival to our farm. We have even more fun planned this year, including live music, a toy drive, food truck, brewery, our jump pad, barrel cart rides, pony rides, and a ton of holiday-themed games/activities. Santa will arrive by tractor around 12 pm. Once Santa arrives, he will make his way into our large event tent where we will have a beautifully styled set available for Take Your Own Photos at an affordable price.

Santa will be at our farm weekends through December 15. Santa’s live reindeer will visit us again on Saturday, December 7, 3 – 7 pm. Advance tickets will be required to see the reindeer and will go on sale soon. Our vintage red truck will be staged again this season and people can reserve time to take their own Holiday photos.

Come sip on some hot cocoa and shop local with us. We hope you choose to spend time at Charlann Farms this holiday season and begin building new traditions with us.

More information regarding Santa’s hours and other events can be found on our website at www.charlannfarms.com.
