Pennsbury High School’s Drama Troupe #830 is excited to present its fall mainstage production of Almost, Maine by John Cariani, taking place on November 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pennsbury High School West Orange Auditorium (also known as The Cave), located at 608 South Olds Blvd. in Fairless Hills.
Set under the mystical glow of the northern lights, “Almost, Maine” takes audiences on a whimsical journey into the complexities of love and human connection. The play features a series of interwoven vignettes where friendships, relationships, and connections evolve in unexpected ways—some ending, some beginning, and some transforming beyond recognition. Nine short, heartwarming, humorous, and sometimes quirky tales will transport audiences to a cold, clear, moonless night in the fictional town of “Almost, Maine,” where love takes center stage in all its forms.
“This is an endearing play about love, but not quite,” says Director Damari Fallacaro, who marks her first year directing the drama troupe after 14 years of involvement in Pennsbury’s theatrical arts. Assistant Director Olivia Schanbacher, a Pennsbury alum and former Troupe #830 member, also makes her directorial debut this year. The creative team is proud to be working alongside Costume Designer, Ruth Schanbacher and a dedicated group of students, including Student Stage Managers Hayleigh Monachello and Isabel McGlynn, as well as a talented ensemble of actors and crew members.
Cast include: Hibah Abdellatif, Joshua Cahan, Andrew Capozzola, Lola Castro, Olivia Czyz, Ty Decker, Matt Deem, Melody Fitzsimmons, Jason Kaplan, Maddie Levy, Jacob MacKinnon, Liam Neill, Emma Pepe, Rosemarie Reeves, Alex Search, Kira Smith, Fae Templeton, Cece Troiano, Nathan Vereb, Maya Wund, and Avigail Wus.
Crew include: Toria Porter, Emily Carlin, Row Benninghoff, Elliot Freebourn, Gwen Hoppe, Emerson McMullen, Geetanjali Vinnakota, Crystal Menzies, Caroline Piznar, and Samantha Woolman.
“Almost, Maine” is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. Originally developed by the Cape Cod Theatre Project and premiering professionally at the Portland Stage Company, it brings a touch of magic and heartfelt storytelling to the Pennsbury stage.
