The Abington Lines Model Railroad Club is hosting Open Houses for the holidays at its clubhouse, located at 2066 Second Street Pike (PA Route 232) in Richboro. Each Open House is scheduled from noon to 4 pm on the following Saturdays and Sundays: December 7 and 8, December 14 and 15, December 28 and 29, January 4 and 5, and February 1 and 2.
Come marvel at the 20’ x 60’ HO scale railroad set in the Pennsylvania mountains with a two-track mainline that is more than 1,000 feet in length.
The layout includes a circus display, two operating roundhouses, a narrow gauge branch line, waterfront complete with rail car ferries, four industrial switching areas, and a picturesque old-time town with stores that have realistic interiors, animated neon signs, and trolleys that run the whole length of the city.
Operating scale locomotives with realistic sound and wireless remote control will be featured. Admission to the Open House is free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated.
