Summerseat will host the 248th Anniversary of George Washington’s Arrival to Morrisville on Saturday December 7. Bring the entire family to discover the history of Summerseat and enjoy festive food and drinks, a children’s activity with a special guest from the North Pole, raffle baskets, a lottery tree, vendor tables with local crafters and artists, and much more!

This free event will take place from 11 am – 3 pm at Summerseat, located at 130 Legion Avenue in Morrisville.
This holiday event will include a speech from George Washington, portrayed by Sam Davis, and colonial reenactors in period dress, who will recount the American Revolution and the founding of our country. There will be a menu of enticing food, which will include homemade soup, hot dogs, hot apple cider, marshmallow toasting, and various desserts to please your palate. Historic Summerseat is the site where George Washington planned the pivotal Battle of Trenton which occurred December 26, 1776. The house continues to reflect 1700’s colonial style in the tastefully decorated rooms of this Morrisville Treasure, encapsulating history and providing important context for local education.
