    Art for Your Sweetheart: Art Show & Silent Auction at Pickering Manor

    Join us for a memorable evening at Pickering Manor’s “Art for Your Sweetheart Art Show and Silent Auction on February 6 from 5 – 7 pm at the Clubhouse at the Manor. Hosted by the Pickering Manor Auxiliary, this event will feature a stunning collection of artwork by local artists, including paintings available for auction and purchase. Admission is just $20 at the door and includes light refreshments, including wine and gourmet cheese, offering a perfect pairing for an evening of art and community support.

    Majority of the featured artists are members of the Artists of Yardley (AOY), a nonprofit art center in Yardley, known for fostering creativity through classes, workshops, and exhibitions that connect local artists and art lovers. For more information on AOY, please visit www.aoyarts.org.

    The exhibit at Pickering Manor will showcase works by:

    • Arlene Freed: A Bucks County artist specializing in landscapes, figure work, and portraiture, capturing both animals and people with vivid detail.
    • Connie Dierks: Working in oil and watercolor, Connie’s art explores her fascination with color, reflection, light, and shadow.
    • Craig Hackett: A self-taught Newtown-based landscape painter, Craig is known for his bold watercolor and acrylic works, often depicting historic homes and the scenic beauty of Bucks County.
    • Jeanne Chesterton: An award-winning still life artist, Jeanne is known for her realistic and meticulously crafted compositions.
    • Pat Proniewski: A contemporary realist painter, Pat’s work has received awards regionally, nationally, and internationally.
    • Renee Egan: An award-winning artist and founding member of the AOY Art Center in Yardley. Renee creates romantic impressions through dynamic lighting, color, and texture.

    In addition to the silent auction, the artists will have additional works available for sale. This event offers a great opportunity to acquire beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces while supporting the residents of a local nonprofit.
